Meet Our Founder – The Hostess of the OWCH Marketplace
As a sales and marketing consultant, I’ve worked with many brands over the years, and my passion for natural remedies and well-being took root when my daughter faced serious gastro and neuro issues over a decade ago. I spent countless nights researching the gut-brain connection, and that’s when I discovered just how powerful nutrition and plant-based remedies can be.
During this journey, I had the privilege of living with my dear friend, Tom Wilkinson, who was battling cancer. As part of his recovery, he was searching for ways to boost his health naturally. It was Tom who introduced me to the incredible benefits of broccoli sprouts, packed with sulforaphane. His fight and determination left a lasting impact on me, reinforcing the importance of finding natural paths to wellness.
On a more personal level, I discovered the healing properties of plants when I foraged for nettles to make tea that cured my constant water infections to this day hour years on I have replaced antibiotics for a daily cup of sting.
The irony of nettles—how something that can sting can also heal—stuck with me, and it’s what inspired the name OWCH for this platform. Just like the sting of nettles, challenges can lead to healing and growth.

I’m not a health guru, but I know how to bring talented people together to create affordable, high-quality products. Health should never come at a steep price. OWCH is more than one brand, its a family of brands, a community where people can come together, create, share their stories, and find joy. Fiona our Formulator
Our talented formulator and chemist, Fiona, is not only a force in the world of product development but also a vibrant, multi-faceted individual who brings warmth and dedication to everything she does. A lover of horses, an avid marathon runner, and a long-time scout volunteer, Fiona embodies both kindness and passion. She’s one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, always ready to lend a hand, and she has a special talent for making homemade limoncello from the lemons she brings back from her home in Spain.
With over 30 years of experience, Fiona graduated from Derby University and has worked with some of the largest contract manufacturers in the UK. Her expertise spans a vast range of personal care products, from bath and shower products to hair care, deodorants, body sprays, and more. She’s successfully launched numerous products for supermarkets, high-street retailers, top fashion designers, and clients worldwide.
Since 1990, Fiona has been a proud member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists and has served as an active Committee member for the Northern Regional Development Group since 1997. In 1995, she earned her Diploma in Cosmetic Science, and in 2017, she was honored to present the Inaugural Lecture at the Royal Society of Chemistry in London.
As OWCH continues to grow, we are excited to develop new products and launch innovative brands on the OWCH marketplace. With Fiona’s wealth of experience and expertise leading our product formulations, you can be reassured that if you want to develop and launch a product with our team, you’re in safe hands. Her hands-on approach in our fully equipped development laboratory ensures that every product is of the highest quality. We offer a wide range of formulation and testing services, including on-site stability testing, PIP file creation, pack copy preparation, and INCI list checking, all in compliance with EU Cosmetics Regulations.
Fiona’s passion for her work is matched only by her zest for life. Whether she’s formulating cutting-edge products or running marathons, her commitment and energy are inspiring. We’re incredibly fortunate to have someone with such strong technical capabilities and deep experience on our team, and her kindness and positivity make working with her a true joy.
Ava Creative Talent
Ava is the creative talent at OWCH, where she plays a pivotal role in product and community content creation, research, and supporting new brands on their journey to launch in the marketplace. Ava is Kate's daughter, she has harnessed her artistic talents to navigate her own health challenges, transforming her experiences into inspiration. A graduate in fashion marketing and promotion, Ava is known for her exceptional eye for design and aesthetics. She is excited to be part of a community that aligns with her values and aspirations, nurturing her craft as a young designer while empowering others and promoting well-being through creativity.
